My main character is Shuyan, although I suffer from a chronic case of altitis a need to make new characters, mind you I like to try all the different classes after all variety is the spice of life. Anyway I digress a little, Shuyan is a lvl 85 Blood Elf DK, currently specializing having trained for many levels in the art of Blood, does this make her a Vampire well I don’t know but she likes to play with big worms and hangs around with a ghoul now and then.
Interested in joining socially to start with and maybe moving up to Raiding but not really fussed about raiding at the moment. What really appeals to me is just running some heroics or normal dungeons and most importantly having a few laughs and making new friends.
What have I done in WoW and how do I normally play: Well here goes lets see…
Playstyle: This has mostly been solo or with a friend or my two sons who both play. Have hunted and failed so far to really find the right guild for me, somewhere that you don’t have to raid three times a week. Somewhere there isn’t that clique of players who won’t let you group with them to do a dungeon. Somewhere that people will take the time to get to know you, to share a few drinks around a camp fire and tell stories of our adventures. To give aid to our fellow guildies and receive same aid when required. A group who will offer advice without trying to make you feel stupid just because you don’t run with the optimal talents or whatever. A group who don’t mind dropping what they are doing to defend the cities of the Horde (Well if you are doing nothing important like trying out the latest grilled kodo burger that is)
Raiding: I have not raided at all not done many heroics either. As I said never really found the right group to do this with. Pugs I hate with a passion as you normally end up with one of the many know it alls who turns out to be so full of themselves that it’s not enjoyable and I play for enjoyment.
Roleplay: I do roleplay my characters not all the time, but yes I do roleplay I mean there’s nothing better that watching some poor Alliance filth being beaten up by some mobs then just as they die run over and have a laugh at the poor suckers corpse. Or sit in a tavern somewhere and tell tales of high adventure, of monsters slain and of places explored.
PvP is when and where I can be bothered, opportunistic really kinda sums it up. I mean you won’t find me in a battleground or bouncing about like some kids toy on speed.
Achievements: Yes these are nice to get but I don’t go out of my way for them if they come along then great, if not then there’s always tomorrow.
Loot: An important aspect of any guild runs or in fact any dungeon runs but not the be all and end all of them if I get something from a run good if not and I have a laugh and enjoy myself hey it’s just as good in fact it's better.
About me well I’m an old time gamer having been around quite a few games, have experienced many ups and downs during this time. I’m 46yr old so fit the old (or so my kids tell me), I did go to and complete school, and can be grumpy when the ex phones to annoy me so guess I kinda fit the definition at least. I do have a RL and do not play all the time have a good sense of humour although it might be a little twisted at times. I work away from home on a regular rota so I do tend to have spells where I will not be online, but only for a couple weeks.
